INVARIANTES is Guatemala’s first venture capital fund, dedicated to investing in early-stage startups and emerging managers throughout the US and Latin America.
We allocate 50% of our portfolio to early-stage emerging managers with whom we can actively collaborate, and the remaining 50% to early-stage startups. We maintain a sector-agnostic approach, directing 70% of our investments to the US and the remainder to Latin America.
Fernando Pontaza, a venture capitalist and angel investor, co-founded Guatemala’s first venture capital fund. Across multiple vintages, his fund has been instrumental in democratizing access to the asset class in the region. As a portfolio manager for a multi-family office, and then venture capitalist and angel investor, he has contributed to investments in 70+ funds and 200+ startups.
